Working on writing projects this semester?

Make an appointment with us! From brainstorming ideas to giving feedback on your drafts, our consultants can help you at any stage in the writing process. Use the login to the left to register for an account, sign in, and schedule an appointment.

What type of appointment should I make?

That depends! We currently offer three different appointment types to make our appointments accessible to a wide range of writers. Learn more about each appointment type and their advantages below:

Want to meet online with one of our writing consultants? Select from the "Online Live Chat" schedule to make a virtual appointment.
Too busy to attend an appointment, but still want to get feedback before you work is due? Select from the "Online Drop-Off" schedule to make an appointment to get written feedback within 48 hours of your selected time.
Want to meet on campus and in person with one of our writing consultants? Select from the "Bricker Hall" schedule. (Please note Bricker Hall is now our main location now that we have moved from Smith Lab.)

How do I join a writing accountability group?

Hoping to make more time to work on your writing? Join the Writing Center for our virtual writing groups, which meet weekly via Zoom to provide writing accountability and community throughout the semester. We welcome all writers from across campus, including undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, staff and postdocs. These groups are especially ideal for writers working on long-term projects. We encourage you to commit to participating each week in one or more writing groups, or to join us periodically as your schedule allows.
